The virtual allocated server
The virtual allocated servers (VDS, VPS) - technology constructed on idea of division of resources of a server several users, but giving the full control over your own appendices. Looks(appears) for the user the same as and as the allocated server, but physically on one real server settles down some virtual servers. Service is intended for projects of average weight (demanding thin adjustment(option) of environment(Wednesday)) and beginning(starting) resellers. The virtual allocated server allows to use own software, and also to administer a server.
The virtual allocated server by opportunities is similar to a physical server:
- VDS (VPS) has the processes, users and gives full root-access;
- VDS (VPS) has own IP-addresses, ports, rules of filtering and the table of routing;
- VDS (VPS) can have own configuration files and program appendices;
- There is an opportunity to create own versions of system libraries or to change existing;
- Owner VDS (VPS) can change any files, including files in head and other service directories and also establishes/adjust/change(establishes/set up/change,installs/adjust/change) any accessible ON (an example: on one server it is possible to start VDS (VPS) with different distribution kits of operational systems);
- VDS (VPS) has minimal guaranteed resources RAM, CPU, and an opportunity to use all other resources of a server.
